How to use it

Your resume, job notes, and applications stay in files on this computer. Follow the steps in order the first time. You can leave and come back; the same files are still here.

Step 1
Add your resume
On the Dashboard, paste your resume or drop a .md or .txt file. It stays on this Mac as cv.md. A PDF needs an AI assistant selected in Settings before it can be read.

Tell it what you want
On the Dashboard or the Resume page, confirm the roles read from that resume and, if you want, a city or region. Leave the place empty to search everywhere. You can type the details yourself. An assistant is optional, and nothing is saved until you accept it.

Choose an AI assistant, if you want scoring
In Settings, pick who writes the score. Claude needs the Deeper score switch and a sign-in. OpenCode follows the same Career Ops score and can save the PDF. Ollama on this Mac follows the same score and does not spend Claude tokens. Finding jobs and the resume preview work with every choice.

Find or add a job
Find jobs searches public company boards. You can also paste a job link. Results are real listings from those boards. If a board cannot be reached, the page says so.

Read the match before you apply
Open a job and run an evaluation when you want a score. The score uses your resume. A weak match is marked so you can skip it. You can still continue if you disagree.

Make a tailored resume and a cover letter
On the Dashboard, paste the job and press Score this job. Career Ops scores it with the helper you picked in Settings. Open that report and press Save the PDF. That PDF follows the Career Ops resume rules and is kept under Letters & files. The saved resume on this Mac can still be downloaded unchanged.

Track the application yourself
Applications is your list: saved, applied, interviewing, offer, or closed. Update the status when something changes. MynPath can prepare a form on this Mac. It never submits an application for you.

Prepare for an interview
More tools has interview practice. Paste the job and it uses lines already on your resume. It does not invent a story. A scored job report can include interview notes as well. Open that job from Applications.

Review what is working
Insights summarizes your own tracker: how many roles you saved, where replies stopped, and which stage needs attention. The numbers come from applications you already recorded.

What needs an outside service

Public job search uses the internet. It does not need an account.
Match scores, tailored resumes, and cover letters need an AI assistant installed on this Mac, chosen in Settings.
If that assistant is missing, the app keeps your files and tells you what to set up. It does not invent a score or a letter.
